Robert W. Amler, M.D., M.M.S., M.B.A., FAAP, FACPM
Robert W. Amler is the dean of the School of Health Sciences and Practice and a professor of public health, pediatrics and environmental health science at New York Medical College. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, New York University, UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service, with residencies at Bellevue and at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt. A practicing physician, Dr. Amler previously served as regional health administrator for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. As chief medical officer at the Centers for Disease Control Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, he coordinated medical monitoring for anthrax response teams, launched a nationwide program to protect children from chemical hazards, established standardized environmental biomarkers and created a nationwide clinical network.

Robert W.
