Facilities Management
The Office of Facilities Management operates and maintains the NYMC campus, which is comprised of approximately 25 buildings on 54 acres of property (roughly 1,078,000 GSF). The office has various groups that assist the college employees and students in providing a safe and comfortable work and study environment.
Recycling Program
New York Medical College has a recycling program to comply with the Westchester County Recycling Law. The College employs a Single Steam recycling. Single Stream Recycling is a technology that allows participants to place all of their recyclables such as fiber (newspaper, office paper, and cardboard) and non-fiber (plastic bottles, glass bottles, jars, steel and aluminum cans) into a single container for subsequent collection, processing, and remarketing. There is no sorting of materials into separate bins.
Room Reservations
Students, faculty, and staff need to reserve rooms in advance.
Key Requests
Key requests are issued after approval is received from the Chief of Staff and the Office of Public Safety. Once all approvals have been received the key will be made by Facilities and available for pick up in the Office of Public Safety either in BSB or 19 Skyline. Keys are for individual use only. To request a key, please fill out the key request form. If you have any questions please contact Facilities or the Office of Public Safety. Please do not share or lend out your key. Call the Office of Public Safety at (914) 594-4226 for lockouts or room access. Please contact the Office of Public Safety at nymc-keyrequests@nymc.edu if the key is lost or misplaced as soon as possible.
Housekeeping, Setups & Moving
Housekeeping has a regular schedule for keeping the NYMC campus clean. Learn about cleaning schedule and responsibilities, how housekeeping can help with setup, and steps to arrange a move, on housekeeping, setups & moving.
Maintenance & Grounds Work Orders
The Maintenance & Grounds staff responds to a great amount of calls every day. Many of these calls are considered high-priority emergencies, so please be patient when requesting minor repairs. Some requests have priority over others (e.g. a small flood takes priority over a request for shelves). Emergencies aside, we always try to get all of your concerns taken care of in a timely fashion.
All maintenance requests should be submitted through HIPPO, our online work order system, accessed through the TouroOne portal. Campus Resources >> Facilities >> work order request. Click on the work order link and the HIPPO work order program will open on the login page. This is a single sign-on program, please do not fill out the username/password fields (as you are already logged in through TouroOne) and click on the bottom where it says Touro University.
Please make sure that all information is provided on the form. Failure to provide all information will delay your request. Although Facilities does not charge your department for most routine maintenance, some requests require excess materials and labor and may be charged back to your account.
Please contact rosanna_bonelli@nymc.edu with any HIPPO-related issues. For maintenance emergencies contact the Office of Public Safety at (914) 594-4226.
Signage Request Forms
Please copy and paste sign request information below into work order or attach as a word or pdf document.
