Elizabeth A. Berry, Ph.D. '23

Elizabeth Berry, Ph.D. '23, completed her Ph.D. in the lab of Christopher Leonard, Ph.D., at New York Medical College. Her recent research focuses on the impact of opioid addiction on the intrinsic electrical properties of orexin neurons located in the hypothalamus, studying how the reward system of the brain is altered by drugs of abuse, and generates results that pave the way for generating new therapeutics.
