I. PURPOSE
To establish credit load thresholds for full-time and half-time status in the New York Medical College (“NYMC”) School of Health Sciences and Practice (“SHSP”).
II. POLICY
It is the policy of the NYMC SHSP that full-time status for all SHSP students is at least eight (8) credits per semester for the fall and spring semesters and four (4) credits for the summer semester. Part-time status for all SHSP students is at least four (4) credits per semester for the fall and spring semesters and two (2) credits per semester for the summer semester.
III. SCOPE
This policy applies to all students in the NYMC SHSP.
IV. PROCEDURES
Student will register in accordance with his/her individual academic program plan and upon consultation with his/her academic advisor.
V. EFFECTIVE DATE
This policy is effective immediately.
