Amanda Brunner, M.S. '14, CCC-SLP, TSSLD, is licensed by New York state and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has evaluated and treated medically complex patients across the lifespan with various speech, language, cognitive, feeding, and communication difficulties. Amanda worked as a senior speech-language pathologist at a pediatric specialty hospital in addition to working in a nursing and rehabilitation center for multiple years. One of her roles in the hospital was to coordinate the externship experience for graduate student clinicians as well as providing clinical supervision.
Her professional interests include treatment and assessment of individuals with brain injuries, pediatric cognitive rehabilitation, dysphagia across the lifespan, and airway management through the use of speaking valves. She is trained in Cognitive Rehabilitation by American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) and Crisis Intervention by Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI).
