Wendy Piedra is a fourth-year medical student at New York Medical College. Born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Florida, she graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She went on to earn a Master of Health Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2018.
Wendy has been involved in public health research focused on tobacco marketing, worked as a research coordinator in the Neurocritical Care Unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and is currently engaged in pediatric psychology research. She is applying to Pediatrics residency programs in the upcoming cycle.
