Rian Rodriguez, a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student at New York Medical College, specializing in Health Policy and Management is a collaborative and solutions-oriented healthcare leader with nearly 30 years of experience spanning hospitals, provider/payor groups, and nonprofit organizations.

Recently appointed as Director of Public Health for Putnam County, his administration continues to focus on its mission to “improve and protect the health “of residents of the county.  Prior to moving into a governmental role, Rian served as the Director for Clinical Quality at Healthfirst, Inc., where he oversaw strategic vendor engagement, quality ratings, and health equity initiatives, with expertise in HEDIS & QARR interventions.

His career highlights include leading national patient navigation programs at the American Cancer Society and advancing cancer research and prevention efforts at Memorial Sloan Kettering. A recognized expert in patient navigation and health disparities, Rian has co-authored numerous publications and remains dedicated to improving health outcomes for diverse communities.
