As a physician with an MBBS from India and clinical training in a tertiary care hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, I witnessed firsthand the urgent need for strong public health systems and leadership. This experience shaped my commitment to addressing health disparities and improving outcomes at the population level.
To expand my impact beyond the clinic, I pursued a Master of Public Health at New York Medical College, where I focused on epidemiology, health policy, and program planning. My training sharpened my ability to analyze complex health challenges and develop evidence-based interventions rooted in equity and community engagement.
Further, my participation in the LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) program at the Westchester Institute for Human Development equipped me with interdisciplinary leadership skills and experience in systems-level advocacy for underserved populations.
As an international medical graduate in the U.S., I bring a global perspective, cultural competence, and a deep understanding of health inequities. I am now seeking a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) to further strengthen my leadership capacity and drive systemic change. My long-term goal is to lead public health initiatives that bridge clinical knowledge with policy and community action—especially for immigrant and marginalized communities.
Fun fact: Outside of public health, I’m a passionate photographer—I love capturing candid human stories, which reminds me daily of the lives behind the data and policies.
