Dr. Sateesh Babu completed surgery residency in 1975 in Metropolitan Hospital/Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital of New York Medical College. He was appointed Clinical Instructor in Surgery soon after completion and has been on the faculty of New York Medical College for the past 49 years, rising through various ranks to the current rank of Professor of Surgery. In 1980, he was asked by the then Chair of Surgery to establish the Division of Vascular Surgery at Westchester Medical Center, as the Medical College moved from New York City to Valhalla around 1977-78. Dr. Babu with his colleague Dr. Pravin Shah developed the Division from a two-member team to the current nine-member Division.
