Prior to joining NYMC Aviva C. Berkowitz, M.D., served as the resident committee chair of the Radiosurgery Society, developing teaching and mentoring initiatives for trainees interested in stereotactic radiotherapy at Montefiore. Her clinical interests include lung, gastrointestinal and breast malignancies.

- Radiosurgery Society (RSS) Resident Committee Member (06/2018-03/2020) and President (03/2020-06/2021).
- Led resident-driven regional workshops designed to enhance resident education in radiosurgery, including a live resident debate on emerging topics in SRS and SBRT. Launching a webinar series on topics of mentorship and career pathways in radiosurgery as well as a resident-faculty mentorship program.
