Vani Dandolu, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A. is an accomplished urogynecologist and healthcare leader, board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, female pelvic medicine, and reconstructive surgery, and certified in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She currently serves as chief of obstetrics and gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan.
With extensive expertise in vaginal, open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery, Dr. Dandolu previously served in several academic leadership roles, including as director of urogynecology and director of the OBGYN Residency Program at Temple University School of Medicine, and as department chair and residency program director at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. She has also served as a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and the University of Nevada.
A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Dandolu has received numerous national honors for teaching and mentorship, including awards from the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG), the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She is actively involved in national committees focused on advancing women’s health and medical education and has led pharmaceutical-supported clinical trials and research initiatives. Her scholarly work includes publications in areas such as surgical innovation, pelvic floor disorders, and health systems improvement.
