James Miceli, M.D., is a board-certified rheumatologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of autoimmune and
inflammatory diseases.

Dr. Miceli’s academic work focuses on systemic autoimmune diseases, with particular interest in systemic lupus erythematosus. His research has contributed to the understanding of disease activity and treatment outcomes in lupus, including work examining the relationship between hydroxychloroquine drug levels and clinical disease activity. His scholarship has been published in peer-reviewed
journals and presented at national scientific meetings.

In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Miceli is deeply committed to medical education. As a faculty member at New
York Medical College, and as director of the Westchester Medical Center Rheumatology Fellowship Program, he is actively involved in the training and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows. He participates in clinical teaching across inpatient and outpatient settings and contributes to the development of educational curricula designed to strengthen trainees’ understanding of
autoimmune disease and evidence-based rheumatologic care.

Dr. Miceli maintains an active clinical practice at Westchester Medical Center, where he provides comprehensive care for
patients with a wide range of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis,
and scleroderma.
