John L. Phillips, M.D.
John Phillips, M.D.'s interests are in robotic and urologic oncologic surgery, clinical trials, and residency training. Dr. Phillips has a strong interest in basic science stemming from his fellowship at the National Institute of Health, which led him to pursue nanoparticle and genetic research at New York Medical College. In a multi-institutional collaboration, his team has developed new nano-particle-based therapies which will be the basis for a first-in-humans clinical trial of bladder cancers. A dedication to residency training has been incorporated into Dr. Phillips' career and he has been program director of the urology residency program at Westchester Medical Center since 2007. Dr. Phillips serves as the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Urologic History which aims to be a free resource for scholarly articles in the art, culture, and history of urology.
