Outstanding Achievement Award
Eligibility
- Full-time faculty members in good standing
- Up to (1) faculty awardee will be selected independent of basic or clinical science designations; preference will be given to faculty with at least (5) or more years’ service to the College and School of Medicine; typically, at professor level rank
The individual has made a significant professional impact locally, regionally, and internationally through their dedication and expertise in the field of medicine and science. Over the years, they have nurtured generations of learners, inspiring and mentoring countless students and professionals. The individual exemplifies outstanding conduct and consistently exceeds expectations in the performance of their duties, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the College. They are well-known as a model of the institution’s core values, continually fostering pride, professionalism, and the standing of the School of Medicine. Their contributions have not only advanced the field but also elevated the reputation of the institution on a global scale.
Excellence in Community Engagement
Eligibility
- Full-time faculty members in good standing
- Up to (1) faculty awardee will be selected independent of basic or clinical science designations; preference will be given to faculty with at least (3) or more years of impact to the College and School of Medicine; typically, open to all rank levels.
The individual actively engages with the community to identify challenges and opportunities, striving to positively impact various populations. They partner with community, governmental, and other agencies to advocate for improved outcomes for individuals and groups. The individual is dedicated to advancing their own career development through the continuous acquisition and implementation of innovative and inspired approaches to community building, organizing, and engagement. Their exceptional commitment to promoting, guiding, and inspiring student curiosity and advocacy for their people, populations, and communities is evident in their active involvement and leadership. Their efforts have made a significant difference, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment for all.
Excellence in Teaching Award (Basic Science and Clinical)
ELIGIBILITY
- Full-time faculty members in good standing with a minimum of (3) consecutive years of continuous service.
- No formal disciplinary action or report of professional misconduct
- Up to (1) basic science and one (1) clinical science faculty award will be selected
The individual consistently surpasses the performance requirements of their position with distinction and merit, earning recognition from students, peers, and administration as a highly effective and well-regarded teacher. They are dedicated to advancing their own career development through the continuous acquisition and implementation of innovative and inspired approaches to teaching.
